The Dicker Boot

Isabel Marant's Dicker boot is nothing new to us. One of her signature pieces, the Dicker has been reincarnated year after year in different colours and different finishes of suede and leather. However the basic shape and, more importantly, timeless style remains unchanged: stacked heel, almond toed, western detail ankle boot.
So simple it is easily overlooked in favour of her funkier, edgier shoes - this season see the classic concealed wedge 'Benett' sneakers or 'it' shoe the 'Nowles' snow boots - yet this simplicity is it's secret.

The Dicker boot goes with everything.

When putting together outfits and looks for a recent photoshoot we found ourselves struggling with footwear. Cowboy boots and sparkly sneakers are of course always a must in one's wardrobe, but when it came to finding that all rounder, the 'all day every day' shoe, we initially were stumped.

Cue the Dicker Boot.

It was the same story each time, with each new outfit we realised we were already reaching for those little black boots. Because the Dicker boot, it just works.

The one shoe that is classy enough to stand up to a silk skirt whilst bringing some leg lengthening sophistication to a plain pair of jeans, Isabel Marant's Dicker has fast become a fail safe wardrobe staple.

And its not just us.

From Kate Bosworth to Emma Roberts, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to Katie Holmes, in recent times the Dicker Boots have been snapped gracing the feet of all our favourite A-listers.

Put them with anything from dainty dresses to leather trousers, the simple elegance of these boots is perfect for any occasion and the classic black suede, in stock at Ruby and Tallulah, is wonderfully wearable for winter. We cant get enough... Our only question is why it took us so long!

So if you haven't already, get yours at

xx
